The Hell Butterfly

‘The Blind Inside’ – A Poem

A barrier, invisible, here standsImage
between
myself and the world I’m meant to know.
The barrier; four walls impenetrable;
one way window with myself in reflection.
Why can’t I see outside?
My world within these walls is all the world
I need …
To open my eyes to what resides beyond:
impossible.
I saw, but now I’m blind.
These walls reflect, repel, reject.
I cannot see.
What’s happening outside …
